Yet Another Obama National Security Failure

The arrogance and incompetence of this president continues.  While it seems that he has finally come to the same conclusion as the rest of the planet - that a KSM trial in N.Y. is an exceedingly bad idea - he refuses to hang the moronic Eric Holder out to dry or even admit his own mistake.

Here's his new plan:

The officials did not say where else the trial might be held, but others have suggested an unpopulated island near Manhattan or nearby military installations.

Obama has maintained his support for a civilian trial. White House spokesman Bill Burton said Thursday the president is committed to seeing Mohammed and his alleged accomplices brought to justice and believes that can be done successfully and securely in a federal court.

Unpopulated islands or military installations in the N.Y. area? Are you serious? Why is it one mistake after another with Obama, Holder, Napolitano, and company, especially when it comes to defending our country? Will they ever wake up and do the jobs they were elected or appointed to do, rather then fuel their far-left zealotry?

I can solve this problem with three words: Git-fucking-mo! Or better yet, these three: kill-don't-capture!

82nd Airborne Paratrooper Killed in Afghanistan

Capt. Paul Pena, 27, of San Marcos, Texas, was killed on 19 January in Arghandab River Valley, near Kandahar, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an IED during a foot patrol.  He was assigned as Company Commander to A Company, 2^nd Battalion, 508^th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82^nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

From The Fayetteville Observer:

"Paul was an outstanding leader and always made it a point to connect with his soldiers,'' said Lt. Col. Guy Jones, commander of 2nd Battalion. "He knew his example was for more than just here and now. He will be greatly missed.''

Pena's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two Bronze Oak Leaf clusters, the Valorous Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Parachutists Badge and the Ranger Tab.

He is survived by his mother, Cecilia Pena.

All the way, indeed. Rest in peace, Captain.

John Edwards Saves Haiti!

Ever heard the phrase if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem? Ladies and gentleman, I give you the ever pathetic, attention-seeking John Edwards.

"We're going to do a variety of things, we're gonna get our intelligence, make sure we know where the medicine needs to go, which facilities can do the most good, where are other supplies – generators, food, water, water purifiers, where they can go and be distributed in the best way," Edwards said upon landing in the country. "And we're gonna figure out which places the physicians can provide the most help."

Hmm, isn't that what the U.S. military, NATO, the Haitian Government, Doctors Without Borders, and about two hundred other agencies and countries are doing there now? It seems Edwards was ignored by the White House - and rightly so - when he volunteered to go, so he decided he'd go on his own...and he conveniently ran into some reporters when he got there.

Can you believe the ego on this guy? What a worthless SoB.

His power hungry wife even spoke to reporters, telling them how much good old John cares about poverty issues. Isn't that special? If the State Dept. was worth a damn, they'd pull his visa and kick him the hell out. Him and Sean Penn both. What a disgrace.

Friday Funnies - Obamacare

Obamacare Finally Dead?!?

It sure looks that way.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she lacks the votes to quickly move the Senate's sweeping health overhaul bill through the House, a potentially devastating blow to President Barack Obama's signature issue.

Sharing in Obama's incredible failure are Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, both of whom should resign their respective leadership positions immediately. After one full year of overwhelming majority, after threats, promises, bribes, shady deals, outright lies and who knows what else, they could not deliver this piece of crap. It finally seems to be sinking in. 

So let's start over. And let's start small.Pass bills allowing the purchase of insurance across state lines. Prohibit the practice of insurance companies denying coverage because of pre-existing conditions or canceling when you you're sick or hurt. Work towards tort reform. That's change I can believe in.

By the way, my progressive friends, you can also say goodbye to cap and tax, gun control and amnesty for illegal aliens, as well. You'd better start listening or you're all going to be looking for work! So sayeth this Tea Bagger!

Year One: Lies, Corruption, Failure and Incompetence

Has it only been a year? Sadly, yes. Three more of this guy and his friends to come. It would be complimentary to say that it's been "politics as usual," but that would be the understatement of the decade. This president, this administration, has taken things to a low that even Jimmy Carter never imagined.

Oh, the lies!Hope, change, transparency, bipartisanship and a "new kind of politics" all fell by the wayside rather quickly, didn't they? His little charade of being a centrist came to an abrupt halt, as well. Were it not for the fawning adoration of the lamestream media, and the way they steadfastly ignore his lies and mistakes, his presidency would really be in trouble.

The level of corruption - Chicago politics, I guess they call it - is astounding. Is there a single member of his cabinet that isn't either a Communist, Socialist, tax cheat, liar, crook or radical nut? The few who aren't are woefully unqualified for the positions that they hold. Janet Napolitano is a good case in point. Another one just fell by the wayside yesterday. And the favors - read money - that Obama is giving to his friends and supporters, either as reward or to gain their support, is absolutely criminal.

And oh, has he failed! After one full year, with overwhelming majorities in the House and Senate, after countless speeches, meetings, press conferences, threats, promises and back room deals, he has failed to pass the single most important piece of legislation of his presidency. Obamacare is dead, say it with me, y'all! His stimulus plan has failed as did "cash for clunkers." He failed in his support of three Democratic candidates for higher office and it doesn't look like his crooked friends in Chicago will be getting the Olympics any time soon. In fact, as far as I can tell, his only success was in claiming a Pulitzer Prize that he didn't earn!

His incompetence and inexperience have also been evident. He has been an abject failure on the domestic terrorism front. Gitmo remains open - and should- despite his repeated claims that he would close it. His chosen leaders in the Intel community failed us miserably on Christmas Day and most of them should do the honorable thing and resign. His AG is a moron who thought that Americans might like to spend tens of millions of dollars to bring terrorists here and try them in civilian courts, giving them all the privileges that go along with that. His apology tour overseas has netted us nothing. He has failed with Iran and North Korea and has made little progress with China and Russia. And the list goes on and on.

On top of everything else, Obama just doesn't get it. He is so arrogant and so self-centered that he still believes that whatever he touches will turn to gold. His repeated attempts to blame everything on the Bush presidency just don't sell any more, and he looks more feeble every time he tries. His radical Liberal agenda is not what the people want, yet he pushes blindly ahead in the face of all opposition. It's really getting rather old.

I am not someone who wants the POTUS to fail. I don't even want Obama to fail, necessarily. I do, however, want his radical progressive policies to die and undignified and public death, so that America can get back on the track of job creation and economy building. Move to the center, Mr. President, and you will find find much more support. But your dreams of entitlements, gun bans, amnesty, government controlled (you fill in the blanks), rewarding your friends and trying to destroy your enemies must stop. Now.

Otherwise, we will continue to oppose you and your presidency will be doomed, utterly and completely. But of course, that's just the opinion of one Tea Bagger.

Obama Choked, Coakley Croaked, Brown Wins!

The message, it seems to me, is clear: no more!

No more progressive ideology forced down our throats. No more lies, deceit, backroom deals, bribes, corruption, paying back your friends with special deals and making us pay for it. No more weakness in the GWoT and no more charging our troops with assault while giving terrorists rights and expensive trials here at home. No more big government, no more spending without a care, no more stimulus, bailouts or Czars.

No more Obamacare; it's time to start over. No more ignoring the people while filling your pockets and fanning your egos. No more liars, crooks, tax cheats, Communists, Socialists, or ideologues in the Obama administration. No more insincere promises that you have no intention of delivering, Mr. President. And no more nose-in-the-air arrogance.

No more amnesty, gun control or refusing to say the word "terrorist." No more political bullshit; work together or get out. No more refusing to fully support our troops or forcing unreasonable ROE's on them. No more entitlements; get a job! No more support for ACORN, SEIU or othe crooked organizations that you've been funneling money to.

Govern from the center, keep your promises, work for the people and not against us and maybe we'll get out of this mess before things truly get bad.

And Republicans, if you think I'm speaking only to the Democrats, you're not paying attention either, and you'll be next!

2010: A Bad Year for Obama

The 2010 election is still almost 10 months away, but already every indication is that if the election was held today, the Democrats would suffer a crushing defeat.  So will things get better for the Democrats by the time election day rolls around?  Well, actually the truth is that things are only likely to get worse for the Democrats and the Obama administration in 2010.  As the U.S. economy continues to fall apart, and as health care and national security continue to take center stage on the national scene, an increasing number of voters are likely to become disenfranchised with the Democratic Party.  The following are 12 signs that 2010 is going to be a really, really bad year for the Democrats and the Obama administration....
 
#1) Health care "reform" has been a total nightmare for Obama and the Democrats.  The majority of Americans have been horrified to learn that the plan put forward by the Democrats will make purchasing health insurance mandatory, will raise taxes, will give the government unprecedented control over health care decisions, will result in much fewer health care choices for the average American and will push U.S. government deficits through the roof.  Approval ratings for the health care "reform" bill have been hovering in the 30s, and considering that this is the centerpiece of the Democratic agenda, this is a really, really bad sign for Obama and the Democrats.
 

The Haiti Problem

After badly under-reacting to the two recent terrorist attacks here at home, President Obama is now going to the opposite extreme and overreacting to the situation in Haiti.

Today he promised $100 million in aid and warned that is was just the beginning. He didn't, however, mention what has happened to the billions that we have given them since the 1990's when they became Clinton's pet project. Widespread corruption, violence, theft and the black market trade consumed most of that money, as evidenced by the situation there today. And the same thing will happen again with the money and supplies we are sending there now.

Americans are a kind and caring people, and we feel for the plight of those killed, injured and stranded in Haiti. America will give millions in aid and our people will donate millions more, and we will be responsible for the largest part of rescue and rebuilding efforts. Obama has even moved to grant amnesty to illegal aliens from Haiti already here. 

I commend him for the efforts underway and agree that we should do all we can to rescue and aid these people, but let's slow down before we start promising them millions that we don't have, especially when we have serious problems right here at home. We should take our time, make sure that the people that need the help are actually getting in and move swiftly against those who are preying on those in need. But let's take one step at a time.

Oh, and the next time you hear someone say that she isn't proud of her country, you can direct her to our efforts here as just one example of the contrary. And the next time someone tells you that our troops are murdering innocent people, you can tell him that without the U.S. military, most of the rescue efforts in Haiti would be unsuccessful. Then you can tell them to piss up a rope.

Those Lying, Crooked Democrats

Remember when, in the interests of forcing the unwanted Obamacare bill down our throats, the Democrats were demonizing - at least publicly- the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries? Telling us that they were the bad guys? That what they were doing was designed to stop them from stealing us blind?

Do you remember all of the closed-door meetings that POTUS and the Democratic leadership was having with these lobbyists? And the "rumors" of back-door deals? Well, guess who is supporting Martha Coakley, candidate for Massachusetts Senator, who has already indicated she's unable to think for herself and will vote party lines, possibly making the difference in the passage of this crap?

As first reported by Timothy Carney of the Washington Examiner, the host committee for the fundraiser at Pennsylvania Avenue's Sonoma Restaurant includes lobbyists for Pfizer, Merck, Eli Lilly, Novartis and sundry other drug companies that have been among the biggest of ObamaCare's corporate sponsors. Other hosts—who have raised at least $10,000 for Ms. Coakley—include representatives from UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and other insurers. As far as we can tell, the insurance industry claims to oppose ObamaCare's current incarnation.

Naturally, lobbyists from America's Health Insurance Plans and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, the major trade groups, were on hand too.

Whoa, I thought those groups were the bad guys?? WTF? Are the DemocRats lying again?Did they cut private deals with all of these groups that they've been declaring the enemy all along? Would they really take millions from companies that they insist are destroying America? Is there anything that these people won't do secure more power over us?

Remember, they've said all along that passing a bad bill is better then passing no bill at all. And they are about to do just that. Just don't kid yourself that these scumbags are doing this for the poor and needy when they are clearly pursuing their own interests and fortune, instead.
